Interior Design
The Volkswagen Atlas interior didn't receive any major structural changes to improve space, but upgrading something that already sits at the top is hard. The lineup's roomy three-row seating space lets you easily accommodate your family and friends, ensuring everyone has room to get comfortable. The Volkswagen Atlas' new changes include fewer hard plastics, more supple leather upholstery, and soft-touch materials across the dashboard. Upper trim levels now possess quilted leather upholstery, and numerous trim options include wood, carbon fiber-look, and brushed metal materials for texture enhancement. Ventilated front seats and a heated steering wheel are standard, allowing you to set the perfect temperature to combat the weather outside.
Performance
A larger SUV needs an engine to keep up, and the Volkswagen Atlas doesn't back down from the challenge. The lineup now sports a standard 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine, delivering 269 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. The lineup continues offering a 5,000-pound towing capacity and improves its available fuel economy to 20/23 mpg city/highway estimates. The eight-speed automatic transmission downshifts to provide some pep in your step, and 4MOTION® All-Wheel Drive is available if you need more surefooted confidence for your commute.
Safety
The 2024 Volkswagen Atlas continues to provide a safe experience with the IQ.DRIVE safety package. This suite of driver assistance options allows you to brave the toughest challenges and busiest roads worry-free. You can enjoy peace of mind with features like Travel Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Active Blind Spot Monitor, and Rear Traffic Alert. Numerous assist technologies, like Front Assist, Lane Assist, and Emergency Assist, can jump in and provide help when you need something extra. Options like Park Distance Control with Maneuver Braking and Dynamic Road Sign Display give you additional features to work with.
Technology
The Volkswagen Atlas' ability to entertain and improve your drive feels natural, thanks to an upgraded infotainment system setup. The lineup now comes standard with a 12.0-inch touchscreen, enhancing the capability provided by the previous 8.0-inch model previously standard. Combine the new touchscreen with standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone connectivity and pair it with the 10.3-inch digital gauge cluster for exceptional screen quality and convenience all in one place. The lineup continues to carry keyless access, available remote engine start, and wireless charging to help you ditch the USB cable.
